Implantology
Dental implants are screws made of titanium or ceramic, that serve as artifical roots in endentulous parts of the jaw for anchorage of prosthodontic devices. Nearly all patiens can receive dental implants. With dental implants a highly esthetic and functional rehabilitation of oral function is achievable. By that a nature-like feel for language and chewing can be realised.
A sufficient bone volume is required. In case of bone deficiences augmentation procedures are required. In small defects, these procedures can be performed simultaneously with the implant placement. If larger defects are present a two-stage approach is necessary. Dental implants serve as anchorage devices for all kinds of prosthodontic solutions, ranging from single tooth replacement to full-arch restorations. We will gladly advise you in our practice. |
